Strathmore is a modern university with a global outlook, with a vision of becoming a leading outcome-driven, entrepreneurial research university. As part of the research work, the Strathmore Energy Research Centre (SERC) focuses on renewable energy training, research, consultancy and quality assurance through multidisciplinary collaboration with industry, government and other academic partners. Some of the areas of research include solar photovoltaics, agrivoltaics, electric mobility, energy strorage, green hydrogen, productive uses of energy among others.
