Herbert Friese

Herbert Friese is the General Manager of Dutch & Co. Ltd. and in this capacity responsibly for the day to day operations of the company.

Mr. Friese is a graduate of the Hotel Management School in Groningen in The Netherlands and holds Diploma's in Food & Beverage and General Management from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York (USA).

Herbert has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry and has worked in senior management positions in The Netherlands, UK, Belgium, Malta, Tanzania and Ghana. He is well established in the West African sub region and held for a number of years, the position of Vice President West Africa for a large European Hotel brand with his offices based in Accra and Lagos whereby his core competence resulted in the re branding, new development and refurbishment of commercial real estate in West Africa, which triggered his keen interest in energy efficiency in buildings and operations. .

Prior to joining Dutch & Co. Ltd in August 2013, Herbert established Hotel Solutions, an independent Hospitality consultancy firm based in Ghana and held board positions in the Ghana Netherlands Chamber of Commerce and Culture and Golden Tulip West Africa Ltd.

Herbert is a permanent resident in Ghana, is married and has two children.
