About me

Cynthia Muhati is the CEO of the Kenya Renewable Energy Association (KEREA), with over a decade of experience in renewable energy policy advocacy, supply chain analysis, and stakeholder engagement. She currently leads KEREA’s engagement in the Kenya National Productive Use of Renewable Energy (PURE) Strategy development and has previously steered high-impact programmes such as the Efficiency for Access initiative under CLASP and Power for Foods Partnership -IKEA program under SNV..

Cynthia has played an instrumental role in facilitating multi-stakeholder dialogues, drafting position papers, and aligning national standards to global energy efficiency frameworks. Her experience with BioLite Inc. and Solar Panda has given her valuable insight into field-level dynamics of appliance distribution, failure points, and consumer behaviour in off-grid contexts and across the supply chain value chain. In this assignment, Cynthia will oversee strategic execution, stakeholder coordination, and quality assurance of deliverables, ensuring alignment with project outcome expectations.
