About me
Cynthia Muhati is the Acting Chief Executive Officer at The Kenya Renewable Energy Association. An Operational Excellence and Partnerships Specialist and renewable energy enthusiast with a passion for advocating sustainability.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchase and Supplies (CIPS) UK and Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) Kenya, and an experienced Enterprise Risk Manager.
A founding member of SHELogistics and Transport Association, Solinc East Africa, and Director at Electronic Producer Responsibility Organization of Kenya (EPROK) with a wealth of experience in shaping policy and regulatory environment and promoting Off-grid and Mini grid solar.
My professional journey spans over 15 years in both corporate and social enterprise sectors, with expertise in supply chain and operations, budgeting, tender management, and a steadfast commitment to enhancing operational efficiency, sustainability, profitability, and cost reduction
I lead the organization in championing Kenya's transition to sustainable and renewable energy solutions. My role encompasses strategic partnerships and leadership, stakeholder engagement, and driving impactful initiatives to enhance energy access, sustainability, and innovation in the sector.
I work closely with government agencies, industry stakeholders, and development partners to shape policies that create a conducive environment for growth in the sector.
With a strong foundation in supply chain management and policy advocacy, I bring a unique blend of operational expertise and strategic vision to my work.
My passion lies in shaping a sustainable future where clean energy is accessible to all. I’m particularly committed to advancing gender equality and inclusivity within the energy sector, empowering women to thrive in traditionally male-dominated fields.
I represent KEREA in global forums to share insights and drive dialogue on renewable energy and sustainable development.
